Pleased throughout Positive: I liked how it is all so nicely set up for the guests to feel at home. It is rare to find a guest house with an interior of a great taste. This made a big difference compared to other hotels where you find bare bones of the 4 walls. I liked also the visitor rule of quiet time at night. People are different, so it is nice to be able to find quiet environment in a big city of Chicago. Additionally, guests are welcome to cook in a fully equipped kitchen. There is Mariano's store 6 minutes away from Villa Dubois with take out food, in case you want to skip unnecessary overspending in expensive restaurants. I will not hesitate to book a room in Villa Dubois again when I am around in Chicago. Negative: I liked everything, so no notes there. Thank you.

Positive: I had a really good stay at this guesthouse. My room was tidy, comfortable and had all the basics I needed. Check-in went smoothly and everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful. The location worked out perfectly — close enough to get around easily but still peaceful at night. I felt comfortable the whole time and would definitely come back.

The house itself has a cozy, welcoming feel and it’s well taken care of. Check-in was smooth, communication was quick and helpful, and I felt safe and at home the whole time. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Chicago.

Spotless, peaceful, and safe — an excellent value! Positive: Villa Dubois Guest House was a wonderful place to stay! The property was spotless, the neighborhood was peaceful and safe, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality provided. Everything was comfortable and well-maintained — I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it to others.

Wasn’t a bad stay but I wouldn’t do it again unless it was my last option. Positive: I liked the layout of the property. The location wasn’t bad at all very quiet. Negative: I didn’t like how we had to share one 3bd 1ba apartment with strangers. You basically are paying for one to sleep in & you have to share 1 bathroom with 5 strangers. I felt unsafe/uncomfortable because we didn’t know it was a shared space & disgusted off the fact 5 people have to share one bathroom.
